Op 28 Januari 2012 is het zo ver! Het Stand Up festival is weer terug met spetterende workshops en optredens, en dit jaar vindt het plaats in L.A.! Vanaf 12:00 uur kun je deelnemen aan diverse workshops zoals beatcreating met Hayzee (zwartlicht), rap masterclass van Önder Dogan (Murda Turk), een graffiti masterclass en nog veel meer. In de avond zijn er spectaculaire optredens van onder anderen Önder & FS green, Kalibwoy en Bollebof. Daarnaast draait dj MBA op de afterparty.

De afterparty vindt plaats in JC Staddijk, vanaf 23:00 uur gaan de deuren open. Let op, toegang tot de afterparty krijg je met een Stand Up in L.A. bandje en stempel. Het word een legendarische avond die je niet mag missen, dus zorg dat je er bent op 28 januari 2012 bij de Aldenhof 13-90 te Nijmegen! De kaarten voor het feest zullen verkocht worden aan de deur op de dag zelf vanaf 12:00 uur en bedragen €5,-. De entree voor het middagprogramma is gratis!

Önder Dogan – Turk alias Önder Dogan wordt in 1984 geboren in Amsterdam Noord. Zijn ouders nemen hem als jonge jongen mee naar Madrid waar hij naar de internationale school gaat om vervolgens in Istanbul te gaan wonen. In deze periode ontdekt hij via zijn neef een prettige vorm van afleiding: hiphop. Terug in Nederland ziet hij voor het eerst de clips bij de nummers die hij luisterde in Turkije en raakt hij verliefd op de muziek. Wonend in Eindhoven merkt Turk dat er sprake is van een levendige scene. Hij begint zelf in het Engels te schrijven en doet met zijn toenmalige groep Militant Union mee aan de Grote Prijs van Nederland. Naast zijn ambitie om te rappen maakt hij er geen geheim van dat hij in deze periode van zijn leven graag op straat hangt en iets te roken niet afslaat. Het is dan ook niet toevallig dat hij in de coffeeshop SpaceKees ontmoet, één van Eindhovens meest spraakmakende karakters. De relatie met SpaceKees evolueert van roken, naar meer roken, naar nog meer roken terwijl ze nummers opnemen. Turk wordt door SpaceKees uitgenodigd als back up MC voor de tour met Jiggy Djé en daar laat hij zich gelden als een opvallend sterke persoonlijkheid, zowel op als naast het podium. FS Green - FS Green is a producer and DJ who started making beats in 2004 using Fruity Loops Studio.
In 2006, after making beats for about two years, he felt he was ready to let his music be heard outside of his home studio so he started to give out beat tapes to some well respected names in the Dutch Hip-Hop scene. It didn’t took long for people to take notice and the first collaborations started to come t…o fruition. Only three years after he started crafting beats, FS Green now has production credits with some of the most well-known and respected artists the Dutch hip-hop scene has to offer such as Jiggy Djé, Zwart Licht, Lange Frans, Winne, Kempi and Maikal X.

Besides producing music, FS Green has also build up a reputation as a respected DJ. He started in 2007 after he was booked at a party to DJ but didn’t know how to work the turntables yet. This motivated him to practice his skills with help from longtime friend and fellow DJ / producer Full Crate teaching him a lot of the tricks. FS Green now has several DJ gigs booked each month. With a State Award for Best Producer, several videos featuring his beats on television and an album by rapper Önder that boasts full production credits to his name, FS Green is solidifying his status as one of Holland’s finest producers. KaliBwoy – Born in Amsterdam, in one of the world’s most renowned cities, we introduce to you Natalio Rijssel better known as KaliBwoy… With roots hailing from Surinam, it was at a tender age that he developed a natural love for the Reggae and Dancehall culture… Inspired by the likes of artist such as Sizzla Peter Tosh, Ninja Man, Buju Banton and of course Bob Marley, the musical fire in him had been ignited and has since then been growing and growing…With Kalibwoy’s ever growing passion for music he was motivated by friends to take his love for music to a higher level… Gaining courage from those closely around him he began to take his songwriting skills for reggae and dancehall more seriously… During this period of growth he got in contact with “Dredda Youthz” and so began the first leg of his journey… “Dredda Youthz” gave KaliBwoy a platform where he was able to master his skills and get the opportunity to perform with a live band….. Bollebof – Bollebof is een goeduitziende jongeman, wiens looks evenredig zijn aan zijn muzikaliteit. Bollebof heeft een enorm scala aan kwaliteiten. De man kan zingen, rappen, acteren en nog veel meer. Begin dit jaar is het album, ZwareJongenZ W.E.D., gereleast waar Bollebof een bijdrage aan heeft geleverd. Op het debuutalbum heeft Bollebof voornamelijk laten zien dat hij over keiharde hiphop- en clubbeats kan rappen. De sessies die Bollebof heeft gedaan bij 101barz hebben tevens een grote bijdrage geleverd aan het imago van hem als artiest. Bollebof is lyricaal sterk en kan zijn boodschap op doordringende wijze overbrengen. Dit wordt ook wel omschreven als delivery. Nog meer kwaliteiten van Bollebof zijn, zijn spontaniteit, zijn humoristische karakter, zijn creatieve gang van denken en zijn chemie met vrouwen.

In de maand juni heeft Bollebof zijn EP genaamd, ‘Airline Bof’, gereleast. Hij neemt de fans en overige luisteraars mee op reis door stoerdoenerij, liefdesnummers (zang) en nog veel meer muziek wat in Nederland schaars is. Integendeel, zijn muziek roept de term ‘alleenrecht’ op. De EP is ruim 30.000 keer gedownload. De EP heeft een nieuw downloadrecord gevestigd op de website van het radiostation FunX. Bollebof heeft tevens zalen succesvol opgewarmd voor internationale artiesten. Zo stond hij solo in het voorprogramma van Bow Wow en Trey SongZ. DJ MBA – Dj MBA who is from Amsterdam has earned his stripes over the past couple of years in the dutch Dj/Club scene.
He started out in small clubs, but in time his name grew which has allowed him to play in Holland’s biggest clubs regularly. He also traveled abroad to perform at venues in England, Grand Canaria and Aruba. Besides performing in clubs, Dj MBA has brought out many mixtapes. He worked with artists such as Lange Frans, Baas B, Brace en Yes-R to release the famous “Straat Remixes” mixtape. Since then he has released more than 20 mixtapes.
